Fire and smoke · All of New Jersey
Fire and smoke damage rebuild, calmly handled from cleanup to final walkthrough.
Even a small kitchen fire leaves soot and odor through the whole house. We connect you with a vetted cleanup partner, document the loss for your adjuster, and rebuild with care.
First 24 hours
What to do right now
- 1Make sure everyone is safe. Do not go back in until the fire department says it is safe.
- 2Ask the fire department for the incident report number.
- 3Take photos and video of every room, including rooms with only smoke or soot.
- 4Do not wipe soot off walls or fabrics. It can smear and set in.
- 5Board up openings or broken windows to protect the home. We can arrange this through a partner.
- 6Call your insurance company, report the loss, and ask about Additional Living Expense coverage.
If it's still getting worse, send a request and mark it as an emergency. It goes to the top of the list.
